We have spent these past 5 days focused on learning Christmas Carols. One of my favorite things to do around the holidays is sing Christmas Carols. We found some books that illustrate the Christmas carols, pulled up a few on YouTube, found a channel on DirecTv that offers nothing but holiday music and even found a few new ones... we decided that even though Evie is learning to sing she couldn't possibly focus on learning a huge variety and actually sing them by Christmas so we have spent a great deal of time learning Jingle Bells.
Every night after dinner, we turn on music, eat little treats (last night it was miniature cheese cakes) and sing songs before bed time! The girls have both loved it. Last Wednesday we decided to take the girls to see the Zoo Lights (we did still sing songs before bed no worries)... THEY LOVED IT!
Evie danced around telling me "pretty trees!" and Inara flopped herself back into Josh's arms looking straight up so she could see the trees and refused to move! If he tried to lift her back up she'd start to fuss.Evie finally wore out, hopped in the stroller and chilled out to a bag of popcorn while allowing us to push her thought he awesome light display! What a fun 10 days this has been!!! And we sill have 10 days left (okay only 6 but 10 days I haven't blogged about.)
